4th Annual
Día de los Muertos
in the Woo
Our 2024 theme is Renacimiento
We build a beautiful traditional Ofrenda (altar) to honor our ancestors and to highlight the beautiful cultural tradition which is celebrated in Mexico and several other Latin America countries.
Our multi-day celebration includes a festival on November 2nd, a Gala on November 2nd, and El Caldero on November 7th - a night celebrating the spoken word, with collaborators Poet’s Cauldron and El Salon.
Our first event was first held in October 2021 as a gift from our Crew to the community in remembrance of Latino/a/e people lost to the pandemic. The event was so popular that we have committed to bring this celebration to Worcester every year.
